Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine
The Tour Doctor is Cheryl’s vision. Her extensive experience across NHS emergency care, pre-hospital medicine, event medicine, medical education and international medical repatriation shaped the service.
Through her event medicine work, Cheryl increasingly received requests to support artists and crews behind the scenes, not only the audiences attending events. She recognised the need for dedicated, discreet medical support built around the realities of touring.
That idea became The Tour Doctor.
The business may be new, but the clinical knowledge and hands-on experience behind it have been built over many years.

Cheryl and Joanne have been close friends for more than 20 years, sharing a love of live music that has taken them to countless gigs and festivals.
When Cheryl established The Tour Doctor, Joanne joined as Operations Director, bringing over 25 years of experience in technology, leadership and project delivery to support Cheryl’s vision.
Together, they combine clinical expertise with the organisational and technical skills needed to build a dependable service.
The Tour Doctor is a new chapter in two established careers — built around an industry they have loved for decades.

Joanne brings over 25 years of experience in software development, technology leadership, operational management and project delivery.
She supports Cheryl’s clinical vision by coordinating the practical and technical foundations of The Tour Doctor, from logistics and administration to IT systems, digital communications and operational delivery.
